Algunas veces para nosotros simples mortales que necesitamos correr CAESAR II y otras aplicaciones ICAS (Intergraph CADWorx & Analysis Solutions) nos enfrentamos a que nos han dado un equipo con Windows 8 instalado. ¿funcionará CAESAR II o el PV Elite en este sistema operativo? la respuesta es sí pero se nos advierte que tenemos que activar .NET 3.5, pero ¿qué es eso de .NET 3.5? si tenemos un poco de curiosidad podemos encontrar algo oficial al respecto.

Esto del .NET es algo que el sistema operativo Windows 8 provee para que funcionen programas desarrollados y por lo tanto debemos seguir la recomendación de activarlo para que nuestra solución ICAS funcione apropiadamente.
¿Podríamos considerar que Autocad Plant 3D está ya cerca de CADWorx Plant Professional?, CADWorx es CADWorx!, una aplicación con todo integrado. CADWorx Plant Professional tiene interfaz bidireccional con CAESAR II para análisis de esfuerzos de la tubería y con PV Elite para análisis de recipientes a presión... ni un solo producto de las Suite de productos Autodesk se acerca siquiera a estos productos de Intergraph. Con la adquisición de GT STRUDL y la nueva aplicación de análisis estructural para AutoCAD Intergraph y CADWorx tendrán otro paquete para análisis, que será el líder en el mercado, para ofrecer una plataforma integrada. En este caso, GT STRUDL tendrá todas estas capacidades para el mercado del acero estructural en un solo paquete. No dejar de lado que incluso hoy hay una creciente integración entre CADWorx, SmartPlant y Leica.
